Workshop

Although we only had one actress to work with when we attended the workshop, it was still a useful session in terms of getting an actors opinion of our script. In preparation for the workshop our director drew up detailed storyboards, wrote a full script and provided props in order for the actors to get a proper feel for the kind of look we wanted for the film. We could have just taken the actors a script, however we thought taking more pre-production documents because if the actors had of shown we would have wanted to entice them to get involved with our production and to maybe scout somebody to act for us. In terms of feedback from the actors, she suggested to us that we make slight changes, although when reading the script she was very excited to get involved which was a great boost for us. Not only was it a great help with feedback, it was also great practice for us to work with actors for a session in order to understand how to work well and collaborate with different people. Through most productions I will more than likely have to work with actors, during university especially but also later on in the life in the film industry, so this was great practice.
